IDEAS has released an update to the Server Performance Trend, which predicts that server performance will double from today’s levels during the second half of 2013. The Server Performance Trend is powered by RPE2, the atomic unit of compute, and provides a “whole market” view of how server performance is trending.
IDEAS adds a new name account, the Indonesian energy company PT PLN (Persero), as a customer for its IDEAS Advantage service.

Ideas International Limited (IDEAS) (ASX:IDE) and Gartner, Inc. (NYSE:  IT) (Gartner) are pleased to announce today that IDEAS has entered into a Takeover Bid Implementation Agreement with Gartner Australasia Pty Ltd (Gartner Australasia), a subsidiary of Gartner.

Takeover Offer Highlights

  • Gartner announces a conditional cash offer for IDEAS shares of AUD1.40 each.
  • The directors of IDEAS unanimously recommend that shareholders accept the offer, in the absence of a superior proposal.
  • The offer price represents a premium of 9% over the 3 month VWAP, premium of 18% over the 6 month VWAP and premium of 33% over the 12 month VWAP.
  • The offer is presently expected to commence on or about 7 May 2012 and will be open for 1 month, unless extended..
IDEAS has released the outcomes for its Server Efficiency Trend, which show that long-term server efficiency, defined as server performance per watt, is doubling about every seven quarters. The IDEAS Server Efficiency Trend provides a “whole market” view of server efficiency and is powered by RPE2, the atomic unit of compute.
IDEAS has released the first of its new IDEAS Trends research, Server Performance Trend, which shows that long-term server performance growth doubles about every 18 months. IDEAS Trends outcomes are unique because they are generated from IDEAS data, which has tracked the performance, efficiency, and price of servers over many years.

Ideas International Limited (IDEAS, ASX:IDE) announced that its profit after tax for the year ending 31 December 2011 was up 60.4% to $1,905,205 compared to $1,187,558 for the same period last year. Directors declared a five (5) cent final dividend payable in respect of the 2011 financial year.

The highlight of these enhancements is the new Target Server Wizard, which allows users to evaluate potential solutions using a five-star ranking feature according to various metrics, including performance, performance per watt, and performance per cost. In addition ServerCAR had improvements made to the Smart Import tool to provide greater accuracy when importing server asset registers into the tool, as well as new memory perspectives, enabling users to compare their current and prospective solutions according to memory capacity.
IDEAS announces that The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America (Guardian), has adopted its IDEAS Advantage service, a family of online information and analysis tools to help remodel the company’s datacenter infrastructure. “It’s wonderful to have such a prestigious company as Guardian as excited as we are about IDEAS Advantage", said Stephen Bowhill, CEO of IDEAS.

IDEAS posted a profit after tax of $921,031 for the six months ending 30 June 2011, up 23.8% on after tax earnings for the same period last year. This increase in profit was the result of an 8.5% increase in revenues and only a 1.4% increase in expenditure for the half year compared to the same period last year.

Ideas International Limited (IDEAS) announces a profit after tax for the year ending 31 December 2010, which was up 19% to $1,187,558 compared to an after tax profit of $997,285 for the same period last year.
