We Respect Your Privacy
Respecting and guarding your privacy is paramount to all of us at Ideas International. We will not sell, distribute or release your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.
Why do we Collect Information?
We collect information for two primary reasons;
Firstly, to analyse site activity to help us understand what content is most useful to our visitors. Tracking is limited to Ideas International sites and is not shared with third parties. The information for anonymous users, those that have not logged in, is collated in aggregate form, via web analytics, and so does not identify the individual.
Secondly, to better understand who you are and thus tailor a response to you, facilitate your movement through the Ideas International websites, or communicate separately with you, where you have opted in and identified yourself for such purposes.

We use "cookies", which are small pieces of data we store for an extended period of time on your computer, mobile phone, or other device.
Registration and/or Login
Some privileged content is available via registration and/or login. Registration and Login is an opt-in, or voluntary process.
What do we do with this information?
Anonymous Users
Anonymous users are defined as those that use our web sites without logging in. Our web analytics software will log your movement throughout the site. However, this information is collated in aggregate form and does not identify you as an individual. We use this site activity information to help us understand what content is most popular and useful to our visitors and so helps us plan changes and improve the user experience.
You may receive an email from us if, (a) your email address is listed with us as someone who has expressly shared this address for the purpose of receiving information in the future ("opt-in"), or (b) you have registered or purchased or otherwise have an existing relationship with us.
We respect your time and attention by controlling the frequency of such mailings.
In addition, any direct marketing campaigns will be on the basis that you have opted-in to receive such correspondence, and will always give you the ability to “opt-out” from any future communications.
In addition to anonymous users, IDEAS offers privileged access content which has some additional monitoring and reporting.
IDEAS Membership
IDEAS Members are those that register and login to www.ideasinternational.com in return for access to IDEAS Membership. Part of the Membership registration process is that we ask you to provide some information about yourself and the company you represent, so that we can categorize our members into various logical groupings. We may choose to share the aggregated usage pattern outcomes as part of our research offerings, to the IDEAS Membership and/or others. An example of such analysis and reporting may be to look at which server or storage profiles are most popular with IDEAS Members, based on page requests, and how that popularity may vary between different types of users, such as industry vertical and/or size of organization etc. However, we will never disclose to third parties your individual usage pattern.
This site activity information may also be used to help us better understand your areas of interest and thus better target any communications that we may have with you as an IDEAS Member.
IDEAS Membership is voluntary and is an opt-in process.
IDEAS Subscription
If you are a user of any of our paid for subscription services, such as Competitive Profiles or IDEAS Advantage, we report to the subscription sponsor information specific to their subscription including the number of registered users, number of enquiries made and the names and email addresses of major users of the service. This helps our clients analyse the value they receive from subscribing to the service.
An IDEAS Subscription is voluntary and is an opt-in process.
Consent to Collection and Processing in the USA and/or Australia
IDEAS has servers in both the United States and Australia. By using Ideas International’s web services, you consent to having your personal data transferred to and processed in the United States and/or Australia. However, this information will not be shared to third parties, unless we are required to do so by law.
On-line Purchasing Security
When you purchase our products online from us we may request additional information in order to raise an invoice, for example address details. Payments are made via a reputable third party payment gateway (SecurePay) and we will only be privy to a masked version of your credit card number.
We keep your account information on a secured server behind a firewall. When you enter sensitive information (such as credit card numbers and passwords), we encrypt that information for transmission over the internet using industry standard secure socket layer technology (SSL).
Note that we will store a masked version of the credit card number e.g. 4444...111, but never the full credit card number.
