Ideas International Appoints Stephen Bowhill as Its New Chief Executive

Ideas International Limited (ASX:IDE)
has today announced the appointment of
Mr. Stephen J.
Bowhill as the company’s new Chief
Executive Officer.
Mr. Bowhill has recently served as Chief
Executive Officer of Garradin Pty
Limited, which
was a subsidiary of the ASX-listed
Powerlan. Garradin offered integrated
software solutions aimed at investment
managers and administration platforms.
In just over three years,
Mr. Bowhill transformed the Garradin
business – doubling
revenues in that period –
and assisted
the Garradin Board in the recent sale of
the business, which completed June 2007.
Mr. Bowhill has a broad business
background in IT, information, and
software solutions having been employed
in similar sectors for over 15 years. He
has held senior positions in Australia,
Asia-Pacific, and the UK representing RBC
Global Services, K-Tek Financial (as it
existed prior to its acquisition by
Sungard), and Financial Times
Information. Mr. Bowhill holds a
Bachelors Degree in Physics from the
University of Birmingham, UK.

Mr. Bowhill takes over the reins at
Ideas International from Mr. Ian Birks
who announced his intention to step down
from the CEO earlier this year. Mr.
Birks remains on the company’s
Board of
Directors as an advisor.
